Help Stamp Out Hunger
May 10, 2008 - Letter Carriers all over th US will once again join forces as part of the National Association of Letter Carriers’ annual Stamp Out Hunger! food drive.
To help out needy families in your area, simply place a sturdy bag containing nonperishable
foods, such as canned soup, canned
vegetables, pasta, rice or cereal next to your
mailbox prior to the time of regular mail delivery
on Saturday, May 10. Food items should be in nonbreakable
containers, such as boxes and cans.
Your donation of nonperishable
food will be delivered to hunger relief agencies in your
local area and used to feed hungry children,
families, seniors, and the working poor.
Consider initiating a neighborhood challenge to see how many items you can
collectively donate to help your neighbors in need. Thank you
for your participation!
