Soupy Visits St Joseph's Students
January 3, 2007
Good Shepherd Food-Bank's (GSFB) mascot "Soupy" made a visit to St. Joseph's Child Development Center of Auburn, in December, to pick up over 500 lbs of food and over $150 in donations from their recent Food & Fund Drive.
The generous donation of much needed non-perishable food items were distributed to hundreds of families during the holiday season.
GSFB continues to seek items that are in high demand during the winter months including: soups, canned meats, canned vegetables and fruits, macaroni & cheese, pasta products, and peanut butter.
Each dollar donated to GSFB can provide more than $12.50 in food to area agencies so this donation will equate to more than $1,875 worth of food for families struggling to make ends meet.
