Agency Match Program is underway!
January 1 through April 30
To help our partnering agencies (food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, etc.) provide incentives for leveraging local support for food relief efforts, the Food-Bank offers to match funds raised by our agencies within their communities between January 1 and April 30.
The challenge grant is strategically timed to help agencies raise money during a time of year in which donations are typically at their lowest. The Food-Bank meets this commitment through generous grants and gifts to our Agency Match Program. The Agency Match Program Goal for 2010 is $112,500.
At the close of the fundraising period, the locally raised funds are sent to the Food-Bank to be applied to the agency’s food account. The matching funds are then added to the agency’s account.
Each dollar raised by the agencies during the match program results in $25 worth of food that can be purchased at the Food-Bank.
