Good Shepherd Food-Bank Honors TD Bank Executive
Outstanding Leader Receives Humanitarian Award

Auburn, ME –Good Shepherd Food-Bank, the largest charitable hunger relief organization in Maine, honored Larry Wold, President of TD Bank-Maine, at its annual JoAnn Pike Humanitarian Award Dinner on Monday, May 17. More than 200 attended the celebration to honor an outstanding community leader.
“We are proud to have had the chance to honor an outstanding community leader and institution,” remarked Rick Small, executive director of the Food-Bank. “Larry has been an incredible advocate not only for the Food-Bank, but for non-profit organizations throughout Maine. His extraordinary commitment to our state has helped thousands of Mainers, and has raised the bar for other businesses and individuals. “
Under Larry’s leadership, the TD Charitable Foundation has contributed $72,000 to fight hunger in Maine and a total of $680,000 to food banks throughout their service area. This donation, along with donations from other sources, helps the Food-Bank to provide more than 12 million pounds of food to hunger relief organizations from Kittery to Fort Kent. Serving food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, group and foster homes, recovery centers and special programs for children and the elderly, the Food-Bank currently provides more than 750,000 meals each month to Maine’s neediest residents.
The event, held at the Holiday Inn By the Bay in Portland, featured a reception, dinner, a program, and entertainment by comedian Bob Marley.
