Many Ways To Get Involved

Other Opportunities to get involved

Transport food to your local community.
We are always needing help picking up food donation within local communities

Journalism and Photography
Are you a professional writer or photographer? We need help capturing the untold stories from our agencies and in our communities throughout Maine.

Printing Services
Getting our word out in printed form can be extremely effective yet costly. Help us defray our printing expenses for an upcoming project.

Create a fundraising event
Is there an event that you would like to host for Good Shepherd Food-Bank? Working together, we can bring greater awareness of hunger issues right here in Maine.

Bring a group for a tour of the Food Bank
If you have yet to visit our facility in Auburn or Brewer, we invite you to call to arrange to come in for an inspiring tour of our facilities. As much as we might try to describe in words what we do every day, one really needs to see the magnitude of our operation firsthand in order to truly understand and appreciate the extent of our work.
Individuals and groups are welcome:
For our Auburn Facility: call (207) 782-3554
For our Brewer Facility: call (207) 989-4672

Hold your meetings or training sessions in our Robert E. Dunton Room
In service to our community members, the Good Shepherd Food-Bank welcomes you to use our Robert E. Dunton Banquet Room for your next event or meeting!
We have a beautiful and comfortable facility, seating up to 100 people, just off the Auburn Exit of the Turnpike. For first time groups, the only fee is a brief (15/20 min) tour of our facility. This helps us share the mission of the Food-Bank and how we benefit those in need in our state.
For more information contact: JoAn Chartier at (207) 782-3554 x 27 or E-Mail jchartier@gsfb.org for availability and menu options.

Donate Materials or Services
Good Shepherd Food-Bank is continually seeking donations of products and services to keep our costs down and direct our limited financial resources towards feeding the hungry. We often need: gently used office equipment, kitchen equipment, fork lifts, pallet jacks and other trucking supplies, printing and mail services, photography, and gift items, hotels, airfare, dinners, etc. for our annual events.
