About Good Shepherd Food-Bank's Member Agencies
Our partner agencies include food pantries, homeless shelters, safe havens, rehab facilities, after school feeding programs, soup kitchens, group homes, and nutrition sites for children and the elderly. These local agencies often lack funds to fully serve their clients, but through the "Miracle of Food-Banking", they are able to multiply the value of their food dollars 10 to 15 times! Many, simply could not accomplish their mission if it weren't for Good Shepherd Food-Bank.
Hunger and malnutrition are debilitating and unnecessary.
By establishing a strong and effective network of agencies in every community, Maine citizens have places to connect; both to turn to in times of need, and places to serve and give back to their communities as they are able. The real differences we can all make in each others lives by working together and caring for one another is truly one of the most wonderful experiences in life.
